Denver in Top 20 Fittest Cities

Monday September 4, 2006
Denver ranked #20 in Men's Fitness annual ranking of the top 25 fittest and fattest cities. However, the Mile High City is slipping from last year's ranking of #5 - so get out and put on your running shoes!

I just returned from a long weekend in Chicago, ranked the #1 fattest city. I think it must be all the delicious food, especially the famed Chicago hot dogs and pizza. This got me to thinking about Denver's lack of famous culinary contributions. With the exceptions of the Denver Omelette and Rocky Mountain Oysters, we do not have a signature dish.

For those new to town, Rocky Mountain Oysters are deep-fried bull testicles. No clue why this hasn't caught on elsewhere in the the country! Perhaps we can collectively come up with some better food as a city. Suggestions, anyone?
