Denver Facts and Figures 2006

Saturday September 29, 2007
How did Denver fare last year? The city's annual report reveals stats on the Mile High City for 2006. In good news for 2006, the unemployment rate declined to 4.3%. The City and County of Denver also hired 255 more teachers, and added 29 public parks. Denverites are pulling their weight, as well. Patrons of the Denver Public Library checked out 816,320 more library books this year than last. The final numbers on attendance at cultural facilities are not in quite yet, as the Denver Art Museum's fiscal year ends on Sept. 30.
