The Five Points Jazz Festival kicks off today at 11 a.m. in Denver's historic Five Points neighborhood. The free outdoor festival will include portions broadcast on Denver's KUVO radio station. KUVO is also sponsoring an outdoor stage, and other venues include the Blair Caldwell African American Research Library at 2401 Welton and the Crossroads Theater at 2550 Washington. In conjunction with the jazz festival, the Black American West Museum at 2901 Welton will be offering free admission from 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
