The Sports Authority's 55th annual Sniagrab sale is already attracting shoppers to its 10th and Broadway location, as some dedicated shoppers have camped out on the sidewalk. Sniagrab, which is "bargains" spelled backwards, offers steep discounts on skis, snowboards and other equipment. The sale kicks off on Sat. Sept. 5, 2009 and runs through Labor Day weekend. Skiers and boarders can also buy ski passes at Sniagrab for the upcoming ski season.
The distinctive sports castle at 10th & Broadway is no stranger to bargains, either. The building served as a car dealership in the 1920s, and the inside ramps allowed easy access for automobiles instead of skiers.

No, the Longmont Sports Authority is not participating in Sniagrab. The Sports Authority locations in Boulder, Denver and Fort Collins all have Sniagrab.
