Denver Parks and Recreation has announced that all 16 of Denver's outdoor public pools will offer free admission for children under the age of 18 on weekends through the end of the summer. Adult admission for 18-and-up will be $1 on Saturdays and Sundays through Aug. 12, when the pools close for the season. "This is the right thing for us to do to help citizens cope with the unseasonably hot weather we are experiencing," said Lauri Dannemiller, Manager of Denver Parks and Recreation, in a statement. "Making our pools more accessible on the weekends will provide more opportunities for kids and families all across Denver to stay cool during this hot summer."
