Travel back in time to ancient Rome at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science. "A Day in Pompeii" exhibits artifacts from ill-fated Pompeii, Italy, which was buried under 12 feet of ash and silt when a volcano erupted in 79 A.D. Buried for centuries, the walled city was discovered in 1783. The museum's display includes wall frescoes, gold jewelry, marble statues and cookware that gives a glimpse into life in first-century Italy. The exhibit is on display until Jan. 13, 2013. Admission is $24 for adults, $17 for seniors and $15 for students/juniors.
