Movie lovers can get a taste of Hollywood glamour by volunteering for the 35th-annual Starz Denver Film Festival, which is slated for Nov. 1 - 11. Starz is looking for star volunteers to assist with various roles at the film festival, and volunteers will receive vouchers for free films. If you are interested in volunteering, attend one of the following orientation meetings at the Denver FilmCenter/Colfax for more information:
- Wed. Oct. 3 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Thurs. Oct. 4 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Sat. Oct. 13 from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- Sun. Oct. 14 from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
- Tues., Oct. 16 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Wed. Oct. 17 from 6:30 p.m. - 7:30 p.m.
- Sat. Oct. 20 from from 4 p.m. - 5 p.m.
The lineup for the Starz Denver Film Festival will be announced on Oct. 15. Previous heavy-hitters at the festival have included "Black Swan," "Precious" and "The Artist." For this year's festival, Starz is not showing films at the Tivoli Center on the Auraria Campus. All of the films will be shown at one of three venues: Denver FilmCenter/Colfax, The L2 Arts and Culture Center and the UA Pavilions Stadium 15.
