The 35th-annual Starz Denver Film Festival kicks off on Thursday with "A Late Quartet," starring Christopher Walken as a cellist who grapples with a diagnosis of Parkinson's disease. Sponsored by the local cable channel Starz, the film festival presents 12 days of Hollywood films, as well as independent and foreign films. "Election day is not the only big event happening this November. The Starz Denver Film Festival will celebrate its 35th edition with signature events and a diverse line-up of films from around the globe featuring everything from student shorts, to a 15-hour film, to some of Hollywood's most buzz-worthy Award Season releases," said Britta Erickson, director of the film festival, in a statement.
