Denver's Root Down was honored as one of the top 100 restaurants in the country by OpenTable. The organic restaurant located in the Highlands neighborhood was the only Denver eatery to make the list, which was based on average reviews submitted by users of the OpenTable website. "These winning restaurants are serving the finest of the fall harvest in ways both familiar and unique, giving family and friends dishes that help remind them of years past and anticipate those to come," said Caroline Potter, OpenTable chief dining officer, in a statement. Other Colorado restaurants on the list include Sweet Basil in Vail, Splendido in Beaver Creek, Flagstaff House in Boulder and The Pullman in Glenwood Springs.
