The Denver Zoo will offer a free day for Colorado residents on Wed. Nov. 28, 2012. The zoo, which is located at 2300 Steele St., will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The free days are sponsored by the Scientific and Cultural Facilities District, which imposes a 0.1% tax on residents of the Denver metro area. The Denver Zoo was founded in 1896, and today features thousands of animals from across the globe.
