Celebrate New Year's Eve in style this year with our guide to ringing in 2008 in Denver. The Mile High City provides a free fireworks display downtown at 9 p.m. and 12 midnight.

Clubs

  • The Church
    1160 Lincoln St.
    Located in a converted church, the Church's faithful fans flock to New Year's Eve. The Church has six dance rooms and eight bars.
  • The Loft
    821 22nd St.
    The Loft celebrates its second New Year's Eve in Denver with its Cool Like That party. The dress code prohibits jerseys, baseball hats and gym shoes.
  • Rise Night Club
    1909 Blake St.
    This trendy nightclub brings a dash of South Beach to chilly Denver. The Rise features a skybar, nightclub and lounge.
Concerts
  • Yonder Mountain String Band
    The Fillmore Auditorium, 1510 Clarkson St., Denver, CO 80218
    KBCO presents Yonder Mountain String Band for a New Year's Eve show at 9 p.m. Tickets are $55 for general admission. Ages 16 and up.
  • The Denver Brass Presents Ring In the New Year
    Newman Center Center for the Performing Arts, DU
    Ring in the New Year to the sounds of a big brass band playing such favorites as "Auld Lang Syne" and "On the Beautiful Blue Danube" at either 4 p.m. or 8:30 p.m. Tickets range from $22 - $57.
  • Colorado Symphony Orchestra – A Night in Vienna
    Boettcher Concert Hall, 14th and Curtis Streets
    The CSO New Year's Eve show features associate conductor Scott O’Neil leading the orchestra in a tribute to waltz and polka music at 6:30 p.m. Tickets range from $15 - $69.50.
Hotel Packages
  • Adams Mark
    1550 Court Place
    Ring in the New Year at the Adam's Mark downtown, which features an overnight stay plus entrance to the New Year's Eve party starting at $369 per couple. Reservations for the room only starts at $229.
  • Denver Grand Hyatt
    1750 Welton Street
    The Denver Grand Hyatt offers an overnight stay downtown plus entrance to the Mix 100 FM's New Year's Eve party starting at $369 per couple. Tickets to the party only are $99 per person.
  • The Oxford Hotel
    1600 17th St.
    If boutique hotels are more your style, the Oxford Hotel offers packages starting at $309 per couple. The packages do not include a party, but the hotel is located steps away from the 16th Street Mall.
Restaurants
  • Rodizio Grill
    1801 Wynkoop
    Rodizio Grill offers all-you-can-eat carved meat for $31.99 per person on New Year's Eve. Alcohol is not included.
  • Strings Restaurant
    1700 Humbolt St.
    Strings Restaurant offers a four-course prix fixe menu for $75 a person from Chef Aaron Whitcomb. Champagne will also be served at 12 midnight.
  • Tamayo Restaurant
    1400 Larimer St.
    Tamayo's offers a four-course Mexican meal from Chef Richard Sandoval for $69 a person. Entertainment includes a live mariachi band after 9:30 p.m.
