  • St. Patrick's Day Parade
    Saturday, March 15, 2008
    Parade begins at 27th and Blake at 10 a.m.
    One of the largest parades west of the Mississippi river, Denver's parade offers entertainment for little leprechauns of all ages. Admission is free, but parking downtown is not. Sponsored by KYGO.

  • St. Patrick's Day Serpent Festival
    Saturday, March 15 and Sunday, March 16, 2008
    Denver Zoo
    2300 Steele Street
    Legend has it that Saint Patrick drove all the snakes out of Ireland. From 10 a.m. - 4 p.m., bring your kids to learn all about serpents and their slithery ways at the zoo. Festival admission is included with regular zoo admission.

  • Free Day at Botanic Gardens
    Monday, March 17 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m.

    See as much green as you can with nature's contribution to St. Patrick's Day at the Denver Botanic Gardens. Colorado residents with ID will be admitted free of charge for St. Patrick's Day.

    Thursday, March 13, 2008 at 7:30 p.m.
    University of Denver, Newman Center
    Tickets range from $20 - $41 for this presentation of bagpipe music for St. Patrick's Day. Other performances on Friday, Saturday and Monday as well.

  • St. Paddy's Day Celebration With Gobs O'Phun
    Friday, March 14 at 8 p.m.
    Swallow Hill
    St. Patrick's Day wouldn't be complete without local band Gobs O'Phun. The local vocal trio performs Irish drinking songs and other ballads. Tickets are $12 for Swallow Hill members and $15 for non-members.
