Labor Day weekend in Denver offers a variety of events. Get in touch with your chakras at the Celebration Metaphysical Fair or or in touch with your more earthly appetites at A Taste of Colorado. Outside the city limits, the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo features Kenny Loggins, while Jazz Aspen Snowmass showcases Mumford and Sons and the Steve Miller Band.

  • A Taste of Colorado
    Dates: Friday, Aug. 31 - Monday Sept. 3, 2012
    Times: 11:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Fri., 10:30 a.m. - 10 p.m. Sat. & Sun., 10:30 a.m. - 8 p.m. Mon.
    Location: Civic Center Park
    What: The 28th annual event at Civic Center Park draws foodies from around the city to sample Denver's finest restaurants. Musical acts include the Spin Doctors on Sat. at 7:30 p.m. and the Pointer Sisters on Sun. at 7:30 p.m.
    Cost: Free admission. Food tickets are $10 for a strip of 15 tickets.

  • Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Festival
    Dates: Friday, Aug. 31 - Sunday Sept. 2, 2012
    Time: Music starts at 6 p.m. Fri., 3 p.m. Sat. & Sun
    Location: Snowmass Village
    What: Mumford and Sons headlines the annual music festival in the mountains. Other performers include the the Steve Miller Band, Michael Franti and Sugarland.
    Cost: Tickets are $82.50 for Friday, Saturday or Sunday. A pass for all three days is $175.

  • Celebration Metaphysical Fair
    Dates: Friday, Aug. 31 - Sunday Sept. 2, 2012
    Time: 1 p.m. - 9 p.m. Fri., 10 a.m. - 7 p.m. Sat., 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Sun.
    Location: Denver Merchandise Mart Expo, I-25 & 58th Ave.
    What: The Metaphysical Fair features seminars on chakras, Native American astrology and channeling.
    Cost: Admission is $5 per day for adults and $3 for children 5 - 12. Readings of 20 minutes are $20. Some workshops also charge a fee.

  • Colorado State Fair
    Dates: Friday, Aug. 24 - Monday, Sept. 3, 2012
    Time: Grounds are open 10 a.m. - 11 p.m. daily
    Location: Colorado State Fairgrounds, Pueblo
    What: Kenny Loggins plays at the fair on Sat. Sept. 1 at 7 p.m. Fiesta Day on Sunday, Sept. 2 includes a parade and crowning of the Fiesta Queen.
    Cost: Admission to the fair for adults is $7 Mon. - Thurs. and $10 Fri. - Sun. Children's admission is $7 every day. Some concert tickets are an additional fee.

  • Colorado Rockies vs. San Diego Padres
    Date: Sunday, September 2, 2012
    Time: 1:10 p.m.
    Location: Coors Field
    What: The Rockies and Padres face off for a three-game series over Labor Day weekend, including evening games on Friday and Saturday.
    Cost: Tickets are $5 - $75.
