1. St. Patrick's Day Parade

Parade begins at 20th Street and Wewatta Street at 9:30 a.m.
One of the largest parades west of the Mississippi river, Denver's parade offers entertainment for little leprechauns of all ages. Admission is free, but parking downtown is not. Sponsored by Bellco Credit Union.

2. Irish Snug

Friday, March 14 - Monday, March 17, 2014
Irish Snug, 1201 E. Colfax Ave.
The Irish Snug holds its eighth-annual "hooley" to celebrate St. Patrick's Day. An outdoor tent will be set up on the premises for some of the days. The Snug features Irish food, Irish step dancing and bar service for the hooley.

3. Fado Irish Pub

Fado celebrates St. Paddy's Day with an outdoor block party beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday. Tickets are $15 at the door on Saturday and $10 at the door on Monday, or purchase a two-day pass in advance for $20. Live Irish music, beer gardens and food tents will be on hand to help revelers celebrate.

Katie Mullens is Denver's latest Irish pub in Denver, replacing the former Supreme Court on the 16th Street Mall in LoDo. The bar is owned by a company based in Carrick-on-Shannon in Ireland for an authentic take on the iconic Irish pub. The bar will feature drink specials all weekend, and will also open early for the festivities.

5. Celtic Tavern

The Celtic Tavern features live music and drink specials for the St. Patrick's Day weekend. The Celtic Tavern is located next door to Delaney's Bar, which will also be celebrating St. Patty's Day.

Run a lucky seven kilometers to kick off St. Patrick's Day. Race registration for the 25th-annual race is $30 - $44 in advance or $49 on the day of the race. Register online or in person at Runners Roost.

Tickets range from $22 - $44 for this presentation of bagpipe music for St. Patrick's Day. The Denver Brass will play classic melodies of Celtic music.

Perhaps you've seen "Riverdance" one too many times, or just want to kick up your heels and have some fun. The Wick School of Irish Dance offers traditional step dance lessons for all ages and levels at several locations in the Denver metro area, including one at 4401 South Tamarac Parkway.

Visit the historic home of Denver's most famous Irishwoman, the unsinkable Molly Brown. Born to Irish immigrants John and Johanna Tobin in 1867, Brown embarked (and disembarked) on the infamous journey of the Titanic in 1912. For $16 per person, visitors can learn about Molly's Irish roots in a special tour of the museum.
