Body Worlds:

Dr. Gunther von Hagens, a German scientist, developed a plastination technique in 1977 that preserves the human body in motion. The anatomical exhibitions by von Hagens showcase the muscular structure of the human body, and have been exhibited in such far-flung locales as Singapore and Spain.

The original Body Worlds exhibit debuted in Tokyo in 1995, and visited its first U.S. stop of Los Angeles in 2004. "Body Worlds 2" came to Denver in 2006, and boosted attendance at the Denver Museum of Nature & Science with record-breaking crowds. All bodies in the exhibit have been voluntarily donated.

The Story of the Heart Exhibit:

Body Worlds & The Story of the Heart focuses on the inner workings of the most mysterious of organs, the human heart. More than 200 plastinated specimens will showcase the cardiovascular system, and includes translucent slices and whole organs to view the network of blood vessels.
