About the Children's Museum of Denver:

The Children's Museum of Denver opened in 1973 in a converted school bus. The museum quickly outgrew its original digs, and moved into a building on Bannock St. in 1975. The current location, built in 1984, lies along the Platte River near the Denver Aquarium.

Don't miss the popular exhibit CMD Fire Station No. 1, which allows kids to play in a real fire truck. In addition, the My Market exhibit lets kids shop at a kid-sized supermarket. More than 225,000 children and adults visit the museum each year.
