Work up a sweat with dear old dad at the Father's Day 5K along the Ralston Creek Trail. A 1-mile fun run/walk is also scheduled for armchair athletes. Proceeds benefit the non-profit Apex Park and Recreation District Foundation, which has designated the funds for after-school recreation programs at Arvada middle schools.
2. City Park Jazz

If your dad prefers mellowing out with jazz instead of rooting for the Rockies, pack a picnic dinner and head to City Park jazz. Jon Romero y Amanecer performs a free concert in the park for dads and other jazz fans.
3. Rockies vs. Pirates
