Early Years: Hillary Clinton's family lived in a suburb of Chicago, IL. Her father owned a drapery and fabric store, and her parents were staunch Republicans. The eldest and only daughter, Clinton often looked after her two younger brothers. At the age of 16, Clinton campaigned for Barry Goldwater in 1964. She also joined young Republican groups in the Chicago area.
College Years: Clinton moved to Massachusetts to attend Wellesley College in 1965. At the prestigious all-women's college, Clinton won her first political campagn for senior class president. She also switched political allegiances, officially becoming a member of the Democratic party in 1968. She graduated with a bachelor's degree in political science in 1969. Clinton then entered Yale Law School, graduating with honors in 1973. Clinton also met Bill Clinton while both were law students at Yale, and the couple married in 1975.
Clinton's Career: After moving to her husband's home state of Arkansas, Clinton joined the Rose law firm in Little Rock. She also served as First Lady of Arkansas, and later as First Lady of the United States when Bill Clinton was elected President. After her husband left office, Clinton campaigned for the U.S. Senate in her new home of New York. She won the senate seat by a margin of 52 percent against her Republican opponent in 2000, and was re-elected in 2006.
Previous Denver Appearances: Hillary Clinton campaigned in Denver on October 23, 2007. Unfortunately, it was during the Rockies' World Series run, and more Denverites were interested in Clint Hurdle than Clinton.
