Colorado is sending 12 athletes to the summer games, with Missy Franklin from Centennial, Colo., as a top contender for swimming gold. Other competitors include several members of the cycling team, as well as track stars from across the state. Not pictured: David McKienzie.
Emma Coburn, 21, is from Crested Butte, Colo. She will be competing in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Summer Olympics in London.
